Two Nights in a Row!

My little Chase has slept through the night two nights in a row!  He made it 7 hours both nights.  I've been waiting nearly 4 months for this, so I'm hoping that it isn't a fluke.  I feel like a whole new person when I get a little shut eye.

Speaking of a sleeping, I got a baby magazine in the mail today that listed the 5 Stages of Tired.  Enjoy!
1.  Bliss.  You are basically running on adrenaline following the birth of your baby.
2.  Disillusionment.  You have the late night t.v. schedule memorized and you start to imagine doing evil things to your husband because he wakes up refreshed every morning.
3.  Despair.  You start to forget just about everything.
4.  Relief.  Your baby has made it a couple of nights.
5.  Bliss.  You've had several full nights of sleep, and life, frankly, seems sweeter.

I think I'm in stage 4, but I spent a lot of time in stage 2!  I loved those mornings when Sam would get up, and ask, "Did Chase sleep through the night?  I didn't hear him."  Grrr....

The Things I Love

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, this post is dedicated to the things that I love.

1.  Fox News.  I'm a political junkie.  I keep up on the stimulus, the bailouts, the happenings in congress, and even the first lady's wardrobe.  Where do I turn for my info?  Why, Fox News of course!  As a republican, I try to steer clear from the liberal stations.  NBC, I'm talking to you...

2.  Ads.  I love Sundays because I get to spend an hour of my day going through the ads.  Finding great deals is so much fun.  For example, I got our couch and love seat combo from RC Willey for $500 about 6 months ago.  Then, last week, I saw the same couch and love seat on sale for $1500.  For those of you who don't like math, that's a $1000 savings!  Go me!

3.  Smut T.V.  Desperate Housewives.  Brothers & Sisters.  Friday Night Lights.  Love them!  I've never gotten into Grey's or Lost though.  That's probably a good thing.  My DVR would be on total overload.

4.  iPhoto.  I've always loved Macintosh computers, and iPhoto has increased my love for Mac.  I make books and calendars.  All I have to do is drag, click, and order.  Scrapbooking is no longer necessary.  Well, let's be honest, I never really scrapbooked anyway.

5.  Gymboree.  I get suckered into every sale this store has.  If they sold adult clothes, I'd probably buy them too!  (Well, as long as they gave me Gymbucks to go along with them!)

6.  Guitar Hero.  I'm one of those people who try to stay away from the trend of the moment.  For example, sushi.  Just because people eat sushi, does not mean I have to.  (I personally think that no one actually likes sushi, they just eat it because other people do.)  Anyway, I thought this about Guitar Hero.  I was not going to play it because I thought it was just a trendy game.  Oh goodness!  It is so fun.  I totally missed my calling as a drummer in a rock band.  But, is it pathetic that I get booed off the stage every time it's my turn to do the vocals.  What?!?  I don't sing as good as Beyonce?!?

So, here's a big I LOVE YOU to all of my favorite things.  Anyone else want to share?  What makes your heart go pitter-patter?

3 Months

Chase is 3 months old today!  He has been such a blessing in our lives.  In his three months of life, he has learned to smile, jibber-jabber, demand everyone's full attention, melt hearts, grab at toys, laugh, eat his hand, splash water, throw his binkie, and give slobber kisses.  He's a keeper!

This will make you smile :)

Today in the Deseret News there was an article about creative children's furniture.  One company, Straight Line Designs, makes furniture that looks like it popped out of a Dr. Suess book.  I had the greatest time checking this site out.  Enjoy!
