We took Halle on her very first camp out Friday night. Aside for the lack of sleep, it turned out great. This was Sam's first activity as Ward Activities Director, so it took a lot planning to get to the campsite. Unfortunately, we spent so much time planning for the ward activities, dessert, and breakfast, that we forgot to plan for our own camping. We forgot basic things like blankets, a pad to sleep on, a hot dog roasting stick, etc. Now that we know how to camp, we will probably go again this summer. It was lots of fun!
Halle waiting in line for the zip line. For a three-year-old, she's pretty brave!
Sam is an Eagle Scout, but this fire took him about 45 minutes to start.
Needless to say, we are not good campers!

That sounds like a lot of work but looks like you all had a lot of fun!
Sounds like you a fun time. We moved right before our ward camp out, we were bummed because I think it would have been so fun.
