Swimming Lessons

Halle has been taking swimming lessons this week.  It is so cute!  She has learned how to do swimming arms, and leg kicks.  Mostly, though, the kids just work on splashing each other.  She is still apprehensive about putting her head under water, so we'll have to keep working on that.  I may be biased, but I think she's the cutest little fish around!

Glitter Toes

Ever since I heard of "glitter toes," I have wanted to go and get mine done.  It is literally glitter instead of nail polish.  The glitter stays on your toes for about 6-7 weeks.  Anyway, we made a girls day of it.  My mom, Halle, and I all went to the La Villa Salon in Lehi to get our sparkle on!  Go and try it!  It's worth it!

Here's the finished product:

These are Halle's cute tootsies.  She wanted purple glitter.  She was holding so still through the whole process.  We'll see if she can keep from chipping it!

And, my toes...I chose "hot lava."  I love, love, love them!

Choo! Choo!

My mom, Bethany, Audrey, Halle, and I took our 2nd annual trip to the Heber Creeper.  The girls were so excited to ride the train.  The entire way to Heber City they kept saying "choo! choo!"  The train ride was great.  Halle loved blowing her new train whistle.  Audrey, unfortunately, couldn't figure hers out.  Aside from the mock train hold-up, which terrified the girls, the day was relaxing and beautiful!

Halle & Audrey waiting for the train.

Halfway through the trip we stopped at a park in Provo Canyon.

After the train ride, we stopped for lunch at the Dairy Keen.  I think the girls liked this the best!

American Idol Live!

My mom, Bethany, and I had a girls night and attended the American Idol concert.  It was so cool!  The show really started when Michael Johns came out and sang "We are the Champions."  He is an amazing performer (not to mention easy on the eyes), and should have stayed on the show longer.  Brooke White got lots of cheers and was very entertaining.  When Syesha came out (half dressed) it was easy to tell the crowd was just waiting for David Archuleta's turn.  When it was his turn, the crowd went crazy!  He came up through the stage and sang "Angels," which is my favorite song he sings.  He sang 3 more songs and sounded great on all of them.

David Cook was an unbelievable performer.  It's easy to tell that he is going to make it big!  He sang 5 songs, my favorite being "Hello."  At the end of the show all of the idols came out and sang a group number.

It was an amazing night!  Mom, thanks for the tickets!

Trip Down Memory Lane

Janell had this on her blog, so I'll join in!  Basically, this is a memory post.  In the comment section, leave a memory that you have about me, or something fun that we did together.  Then, in your blog, post the same thing and I'll leave a memory about you!

Let's see what we can remember in our old age!

4th of July Fun

We had a great 4th of July weekend.  On Thursday, my family joined us at the Riverton Parade.  Halle absolutely loves parades.  She loves to get all of the candy and wave to all of the "princess girls."  Her friend, Quinsi, came with us, and the girls were so proud showing off their matching shirts.  Aside from the heat, it was a perfect way to spend the evening.

On the 4th, Sam, Halle, and I went to Boondocks to play miniature golf.  It was so much fun!  Halle won, because at the end of every hole, she shouted, "I got a 2!"  Afterwords, we spent time in the arcade, so Halle could play some games.

That night, we went to Sam's parents house to have a BBQ and fireworks.  I don't know who was more excited for the fireworks, Sam or Halle.  Sam was like a little kid lighting off all of the fireworks.

Finally, on Saturday, we went to my parents house for another BBQ.  Halle and Audrey absolutely love playing together.  They ran around all evening.  Luckily for us, my parents took charge of chasing them!

It was a great summer weekend!
